Fertility law services for professionals
We provide legal support, advice and training to professionals and organisations working in the fertility sector, in relation to patient issues. We have long experience working with families and leading expertise in the areas of surrogacy, donor conception (eggs and sperm), known donation and co-parenting, consent to treatment, embryo and gamete storage, and embryo and gamete import and export.
Our services for professionals include:
- Bespoke full or half day fertility law training sessions on patient-centred fertility law issues.
- Advice to clinics launching new types of treatment services. This includes advice on legal parameters, issues for patients and assistance with the preparation of protocols and patient materials.
- Public speaking at events and conferences.
- Consultancy services.
- Contributions to publications and magazines.
Our clients include leading UK fertility clinics, national charities and patient support organisations, professional associations, public bodies and foreign lawyers. We have acted as expert advisors to the HFEA's Ethics and Law Advisory Committee and the Department of Health, and Natalie currently sits as a member of the HFEA's expert group on mitochondrial donation. We give pro bono advice to many patient charities including COTS, Surrogacy UK, the Donor Conception Network, the Progress Educational Trust and Stonewall. Natalie is a member of the Board of Trustees of Infertility Network UK and Helen of the Board of Trustees of the National Gamete Donation Trust.
