About Natalie Gamble Associates

We are the only law firm in the UK devoted exclusively to surrogacy, donor conception, fertility, parenting/adoption, and relationship breakdown. The first lawyers to pioneer this field in the UK, we have unique years of experience helping to create and support unusual families, as well as shaping law and policy. We are recognised as the UK's leading experts by the High Court, Parliament and government, and work with clients from across the globe.
Our story
Natalie broke new ground by creating the first specialist fertility law practice in the UK, having struggled to find legal advice when she built her own family through donor conception in 2001. She has subsequently helped make the UK's fertility laws (including world-leading legal rights for same-sex parents) and is widely known as a leading champion of non-traditional families.
Our experienced team (now including Sarah Wood-Heath, who leads our contentious and relationship breakdown work) has together acted in many of the UK's groundbreaking and best known fertility law cases including the very first UK ratification of an international surrogacy agreement (and other leading international surrogacy cases), a landmark case on embryo storage which forced the Minister of Health to change the law, and the globally reported sperm donation case involving the donor pursued by the CSA for maintenance.
What makes us different?
Unusual families need unusual lawyers, and we are not afraid to do things differently. We work with both traditional and non-traditional families, including gay and lesbian partners, solo parents, and married and unmarried couples. We are known for our positive, personal and embracing approach, and for pushing the boundaries of the law.
From our idyllic non-corporate offices ninety minutes out of London in the New Forest, we work with clients who seek us out from all over the world (including high profile and prominent individuals who are leaders in their own fields).
We are also a campaigning law firm and work relentlessly, both publicly and behind the scenes, to change things for the better. We have won legal changes (see our Campaigning page) and work with the government, members of Parliament, the HFEA, Stonewall, COTS, Surrogacy UK, the Donor Conception Network, Infertility Network UK, and the National Gamete Donation Trust.
Our website was one of the very first in the UK to offer free legal information, and is widely used as a leading fertility and parenting resource. We are committed to helping as many people as we can and are actively engaged with our community online, including having hosted the Fertility Friends Ask A Lawyer page since its creation in 2007.
