Bethan qualified as a solicitor in July 2017, having trained with NGA Law from 2015.  Her interest in fertility law stemmed from her law degree where she received a first-class mark for her final year dissertation on mitochondrial donation, and from her graduate work experience placement with us.

She advises on domestic and international surrogacy, including resolving British nationality issues for children born through surrogacy.  Bethan also has experience of family and fertility law, including cases involving legal parentage, donor conception, divorce/ civil partnership dissolution and financial matters arising upon separation.

Bethan writes for our blog with legal updates and has also co-written an article with Natalie for the American Bar Association's The Sci-Tech Lawyer on mitochondrial donation law in the UK.  Bethan is a member of Resolution.
